All Sims 1 questions / comments here...

Its been years since i played sims, but i might go back to it at some point.

the game seems to have come such a long way in such a short time, and one can only imagine what the 3rd one will be like.

but before the 3rd one comes out, what items and features from the first sims game would you like to see in 2.

and what was your favorite family from the original, i still remeber playing the newbies and my own Hank Hill and family from King of the Hill.

I'm going to reinstall it soon because I loved making things for it. I was so much better at skinning and object making (much simpler - me no likee SimPE) and I miss the matching sets and ooh... everything. I made sooo much for TS1 but lost most of it after my hard disk got stuck on my old PC.

Loved things like the add-ons everyone made for attaching props to Sims, used it to make my own Blackadder Sims with neck ruffs and the like.

I'd like to see the return of things like the MacDonald's stand and the Pepsi machine, the spiral staircases (which were beautiful), the fishing pier (which I'd hacked to put in my residential lots), the holiday themed lots, and better build / buy mode music (I loved the music in Sims 1).

Love the father ted one and the welsh rugby fan, well i did find something cool last year on modthesims2, it had all the floor and wall tiles from the original sims, if i find the link i will post it.

a shame they didnt make the doors and windows as well, i miss making space age homes.

all of the are done by the same Creator, but i thought it would be easier to put them in to links so you can find what you like quicker

some of them might have quiet a bit of custom content in, but each lot page should say where ever they do or not

i miss the free item thursday with the first sims, so many cool items, do you remember the stuff like the vending machine and the ginnie pig, though the later did take out most of the nabiorhood

Oh, yeah. I remember the new sets they'd bring out occasionally, like when Sims 2 University was about to come out they made some university bits for Sims 1. I had the McDonald's stand, too, and both vending machines, and the green and red bedroom set. In fact I probably downloaded all of the stuff they'd put out.

That reminds me, I must reinstall The Sims 1 so I can make more stuff. I do get e-mails asking me for some TS1 objects even now!

Both shirts say 'Fake' on them.

I never played the first one, I didn't even know about that one. I only found out that they had Sims for the PC when my Uncle gave me his old copy of the Sims 2. :cry:

I am actually going to be trying to obtain the whole set, and If I'm not mistaken I think I found a place that sells all of the Expansions.

Y'all make me long for something I've never even had, How cool is that?

How you can tell that you're spending too much time playing The Sims...

1. You see people talking to each other and expect to see plus signs above their heads.
2. You think it's OK to keep crisps in the fridge and would happily pay £5 to eat them.
3. You can quote phrases in Simlish.
4. You understand what is meant by, "Amsa de gey! Fufu migi!"
5. You immediately recognised the above as a cry of distress.
6. And corrected my spelling.
7. You've wondered about how to make a CD of the music from Hot Dates.
8. You've already worked out how to create a CD of the music from Hot Dates.
9. Add two points if you have any CDs of other Sims soundtracks.
10. You see a house in real life and wonder how you might be able to build it in The Sims.
