Is there a way to speed up gaining skill points using this cheat [boolprop testingcheatsenabled true]? And what do the others do?

Skill points...if you have the cheat enabled (which I do constantly - I use "See them2") then just click on the unfilled boxes and they will magically become light blue...alternatively just click on the very last skill point box and they will all fill up! Same with the need bars and the relationship bars, click and drag to fill them up!!

Talent badges are something different and I have no idea how to cheat on them. I don't actually 'play' that much anyway so meh!!

after you enter the cheat once, save and go to the naiborhod screen, then click back on the house you were playing at, it should work then

Have you tried clicking and dragging? I was in game the other night, and realised that you can't just click the boxes, you need to drag slightly to the right as well. (Same as with need bars and relationship bars)

When are you typing the cheat? Like Matt said, sometimes you need to leave the lot and go back in for it to take effect.

It describes itself as a censor removal tool, but I don't usually run the game with the blur removed anyway and it's not just for that cos it has four options:

The censor patch removal, Testingcheatsenabled true, the 45% angle cheat, and the snapobjects to grid false cheat.

I only run the game with the testingcheats and the 45% angle cheat on. I manually enter the snapobjects cheat as and when I need it.

It are working! Yayness!

I enabled the cheat before entering a lot to play a family, so I was able to drag across the boxes to fill 'em up.

Any tips? I only seem to be able to create sawn-off hair styles and I can never make the hair match up properly at the back, no matter what I do with the alpha files... I think I should add 'hairdressing' to the list of things I'm not cut out for, along with 'netball coach', 'mathematician', 'airline pilot' and 'halal butcher'.

Downloads at modthesims2.com seem to be either offline or inaccessible. Anyone else found that?

Start with a large plot of land and use the terrain tools to raise the land in the middle towards the back of the plot (that way you can put in moats and things). Try experimenting with the octagonal room tool to build turrets and connect them with ordinary walls. Try to get different heights here and there - one taller turret in a corner can look quite effective! Caernarfon Castle might be a good example to look at...

That looks realy neat, and has gave me a few ideas.

I'm in the process of uploading my houses to my SnapDrive account so that they can be downloaded again, but at the moment they come with a stack of CC even when it isn't used in the actual house. If I disable my CC in-game and then package my lots that don't need it, would that make the houses smaller in size?

It might... I find it useful to just rename my downloads folder to something else so that the game doesn't read it, load the house so that the custom content is gone, repackage it, and then rar the new package.

Incidentally, only my biggest and most extravagant lots have been over 50MB once I rar them. Do you compress your lots first?

I do, but it doesn't really make them much smaller.

Really? Winrar shrinks my files big time, and much more than zip files.

Mine, too, but since I finally started downloading other people's lots I seem to get a whole pile of CC - including stuff I don't want. Guess I'll just have to be more vigilant with CleanInstaller. Sigh.

Oh man, don't even get me started with clean installer. I just can't get it to work properly. When I clean a lot and then install it, it never shows up in the game. And when I used it to clean my houses for downloads, they never showed up for other people. So I quit cleaning them.

You must have a LOT of custom content for the files to be so big... at last count, I had around 3500 files, how 'bout you?

I don't have a massive number of files, but I do have things with complicated reworked animations (like the ladder stairs etc) so maybe that adds to the size of the files. I dunno. Meh. I'll just have to buy me some web space and store it all as it is. Some people have admitted that they download my stuff partly for the CC anyway. Who am I to disappoint?

I have over 20000 files in my downloads folder.

Also, J, Did you try to change the directory that yours lots go in with clean installer because apparently you have to let them go to teleport and then when you run the game the next time it automatically puts it in lotpackages. I was having a hell of a time with it myself and so I went on a hunt to see if I was doing something wrong, which I was, I had been changing the directory to be placed in a sub-folder I had created for Lots but then I found a tutorial at Sims2Wiki through MTS2 that said you had to let it go straight to teleport. I'll try and find it for you if you'd like because they also showed you how to automatically put it in the lotspackages folder if the game wasn't doing it itself.

I now have all of y'alls lots showing up in my game and I was so so so happy! ^_^

My game keeps crashing after installing some CC. Even after removing the content I still can't run the game properly. I have exactly the same downloads on my Windows PC and they work fine. Any thoughts?
