The Lost Islands?

It was on ITV about twenty years ago, it was about a load of kids who lived on a Galleon.

Once there was a wealthy man.
who had a wonderful idea,
to bring children from all places, with all kinds of faces.
Together into a sailing ship,
there were forty boys and girls.
The sailed their ship around the globe-
so they called it the united World.

OMG
Seriously? There was a Willy Fog day? Why was this not declared as a national holiday?

I was watching a show about chindrens Tv of the 80s and 90s the other night and one of the old Childrens Tv presenters was saying that when he dose Gigs for University students, many have told him they still celebrate willy fog day.
so its sort of a unoffical holiday, like wintereenmass Very Happy

Which T V programme would you like to see again?
[Will any of you remember these?]

On The Buses.
Please Sir.

Videos and DvDs are good, but watching it off air is better.

As you can tell i am a comedy freak!

yeah i was thinking a few years back that it would be so cool to bring back the young ones, like they could be the offspring of the original cast, but Rick and vivian etc could make a few guest aperiances.

I also have just started to watch on the busses, for some reasonthe guy with white curly hair reminds me of Nooby noobs from the night watch, well its how i think he would sound in my head.

it would be nice to see the return of Bottom to, Adrian Edmondson and rick mayall are made together

Edit:
opps i thought you ment what you would like to see remakes of
as for on the busses you can see that around 10pm on men and motters Smile

Men and Motors? Didn't know that.

I liked the Young Ones episode where they went on University Challenge.

Just been watching Blackadder Goes Forth on YouTube: the ones where he shoots the General's pigeon and goes before the firing squad; and the one where he meets Lord Flasheart and becomes a pilot.

Yup, its on there now, the channel seems to have done away with its sex appel shows in favor of some classic british sitcom.
I was watching the one where they add the christmas party a few nights ago, and one where they were all having flu shoots, more inuendo in 30 mins than a week on a new york building site Laughing

and i liked the young ones university challenge, that was the one with Stephen Fry etc right ?.
i think my favorite had to be Flood though.
I have the Dvds here its just a shame them left out all the cool fetures that the american version had:(

Yes, The Young Ones with Griff Rhys Jones as Bamber Gascoigne in University Challenge. Excellent taste Bachgen.

Men and Motors? Its now more motors than anything. Nice to see the Renault Espace on the Level Crossing again though. Pity Clarkson wasn't in it!

I used to like the Saturday Stacks on UK Gold, though it can get monotonous, especialy when it's "Are you Being Served." All those pu**y jokes from Mrs Slocombe, except for the one when she goes to the museum. Now that was funny.

Excuse the spelling today, I am running on ten year old coke bottles.

Very Happy

In the late 70s we could get HTV where we lived, they used to have a singer called Fred Wedlock, his show was called the "Great Western Thunderbox", it was repeated in the Midlands on a weekday after Rainbow, he was a cross between Benny Hill and Mike Harding in style, but he looked like Seth from Emmerdale. He had a number one record too!

Saw a bit of that last night, where Vyvyan puts his head out of the window and then has to wander along the track looking for it. It swears at him, so he kicks it along the track.

... Although I agree with him when it comes to tractors. Now those are annoying. And big foreign lorries that try to cut me up on the EP. Blow 'em up!

Is that the one where Mrs. Slocombe thinks she's found a mummified cat behind a wall? "I wish to speak to your curator. I have a pu**y of great antiquity which I would very much like him to see!"

God, they'd never get away with that before 9pm now. Or would they?

Clarence? Wasn't that Ronnie Barker?

Just been watching Dogtanian and The Muskehounds... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTBFoLmzYMM

Also found a cartoon I used to watch when I was about 9 or 10, called Robostory - it's so rare and it's never repeated. Don't know why. It would knock the socks off most cartoons now. Might post a link to the only episode I have found anywhere online.

Been watching Waiting for God on DVD tonight. Apparently the reruns are quite popular in the US. I loved the programme when it was first on over here and looking at it now it's still better than a lot of stuff that gets pumped out these days.

Which Ren and Stimpy Character Are You

My Results:

TV programmes (HUUUGE TV thread!) - Page 2 Quiz796outcome2

Stimpson J. Cat

Stimpy is a simple cat. He's mostly content to sit in his litter box and watch television, although he sometimes feels the need to express his brilliant scientific mind.

I'm a little late into this conversation xD

Umm, I must be the odd American here because I don't know most of the programs y'all are talking about. But that's okay! I am still agreeing that they don't make them like they use too. ^_^

So Hugs all around for this very irrelevant commentary on my part... Embarassed I love you

It was always Rugrats for me!
It didn't have words to it but the tune was so catchy...
Isn't it funny how the older you get, you watch kid's programs and they seem really perverted?
My step-brother pointed that out to me and he's right...lol
