Today I bought my second Invasion Earth Dalek...

They're now called Bob and Basil. Both of the 'boys' are black and run on the same frequency so I can control both with one remote. Dalek invasion ahoy!

Bob is the one with a little golden dome missing - he's been rewired recently and some of the domes hide the screws for the casing. I accidentally broke one trying to get it off. Fixed now, though, I hope.

lol, i saw that movie a few days ago, it was um intresting

nice darleks to, they look like a fair size, and Guitar Hero in the background to , have you been able to get it working from the lat time i heard from you:).

Both Daleks are 12" high. I don't like the film much as it messes about with the whole Doctor Who storyline (no wonder Peter Cushing doesn't get counted as an official Doctor) but the black and gold Daleks with claws just looked so retro and scary I couldn't resist. I have plenty of batteries at the ready and I've written to the manufacturer to see if I can get another controller for Bob.

No joy with Guitar Hero III yet, but I'm hoping to upgrade my PC a bit soon so that might help.

You didnt spot The Last Hero and Nanny Ogg's Cookbook in there? I'm quite proud of my copy of The Last Hero - it has a genuine Terry Pratchett doodle in there.

I just found the film wierd in that susan aged back 8 years, she was suposed to be 16-17.
i didnt know anything about that film untill i saw it a few weeks ago.
I liked it in a way, as it was sort of retro B-movie style.
it was no teenagers from out of space but had its charm

... and that The Doctor was a human? Hmm... just not right.

it was on again today, but i didnt watch it i realy want to see a film based on this time war that the doctor keeps on about.

David will be busy next year, so its a perfict opatunity to bring someone in playing a early doctor.

Did you see yesterday's episode? The teaser for next week mentions a daughter!?!

How are they going to explain this one?

well if the doctor has a grandaughter, he must have a son/daughter .
i think his home planet is made up of timelords and just average people.
so even though he is last of the time lords, that dose not mean there were no survivers.
(i think thats what will happen )

Of course - I'd forgotten about Susan. So yes, there must be at least one child out there. She must be able to regenerate, though, as she seems too young to be Susan's mother...

Update re. writing to the manufacturer.

The letter arrived today on headed notepaper. Three lines. That was it. Along the lines of 'We don't have any spare controllers - take it back to the shop.'

Presumably they assumed I was a nine-year-old. I'd already said that taking them back was going to be a problem.

Sheesh.

My only hope now is to get hold of a cheapo RC car or something running at 40MHz and pinch the controller.

you could look on Ebay for people just selling remote controls on thier own, falling that, you could find out who supplies said company with the parts as they are bound to have them.

So what did you think about the episode with The Doctor's Daughter?

I think I sense a spin-off coming on...

have not sen it yet, just got back from my night out (see what i did today topic on mikes )

but i am about 10 mins away from starting it .

though it wont surprise me, tenet is busy for the next few months so Russal T davies needs something to fill the gap

I get very edgy about spin-offs, maybe I expect too much from them.

well i never got into the sarah jane spin off, (only too early in the day for me )

but now i have seen last night's episode i think she is due at least 1 more showing this series and that was a good way of bringing her in to, simple yet it worked out well.
my only gripe is when she regenerated why didn't her appearance changed though i am sure that will be explained at some point
