Yeah, they reminded me of The Streets. I think it's the fact that he sings with an accent. I don't normally mind that but there's one song where I hate the sloppy vocals - The Fratellis: Whistle For the Choir - it's too forced.

I'm i a good mood today just got a tone of DVDs of music all together coming up to 300+ albums so i might discover some hidden gems in there

(so far just heard of hanoi rocks for the first time)

wonders if nina simone is in there somwhere as i trust cybers taste in music

and ren, bakers street is the main reason i wanted to learn the sax, that has got to be in my top solos

One of my kids performed Careless Whisper on her sax today - she's been playing for about 4 months and already she's pretty amazing. If she doesn't go on to be one of the best young performers in the country then there is something very wrong with the world. And it's not often I say that.

Picking up The Pieces is also the title of a really funny film with Woody Allen and Keifer Sutherland. Woody plays a butcher who discovers his wife is having an affair so he kills her. Keifer plays a cop and chases Woody to Mexico. A dismembered hand falls from Woody's truck and a blind woman falls over it. Her sight is restored, Miracles start to happen in the small Mexican village, and the people say it "...is the hand of the virgin."

Sick but funny.

Just been playing Blue by Eiffel65 on my piano, followed by Money Money Money by Abba and Another Day by Delyth Rees, along with a touch of hymn practice. An eclectic mix, one might say. My neighbour was playing his music a bit loud (still is) so thank God for headphones.

As usual, my hands are aching after practising for so long, but meh. Good workout.
