Been quiet without you!

well as soon as i rest up and when my sister is home i can upload loads of pics

including one of a real cyberman that was used in the last series along with loads of other dr who props.
and loads of cool pictures from newquey aquerium.

We want cybers!

i had a bit of a breakdown on thw 13th.
i have talked about it on mikes about the main resons behind my absence.

but all is well again now, and i look forward to being a regular poster again

Going away this weekend for a few days - back next Saturday. Posts are a bit sparse anyway as I'm doing some planning for school. We have to hand in the whole year's planning on 31st August, so I'm trying to get it done without losing the will to live.

I happen to enjoy reading and responding to posts made by my members rather than ignoring them. I have a small enough number of members to be able to do that. Plus, I'd like to let my users know that anything they have to say on my forum actually does count, even if I don't always necessarily agree with it.

However, if you have a problem with that, Ghost, I can easily pay no attention to anything you say in future. ;)

I've had a pretty day and I don't really feel like doing any work for the ungrateful I work for. I've planned all my lessons, I have no marking to do and I'm pretty annoyed that I get kept in the dark about so much at work at the moment. I am considered a second class citizen because I don't have my own class, not so much by the kids but by the other staff. Therefore, the wine is in the glass, but not for long, matey. Oh, no. So there.

Still, nice to be missed, though.

Meh. Here goes...

Since I don't teach one class of my own (I cover every other class) I seem to have lost my rights. No-one tells me anything, such as when a visitor came into the class I was teaching today and took up 1h35m of my lesson time to talk about something happening this weekend, stirring the class up and insulting some of my kids in the process. I had two really good quality lessons this morning (see Show and Tell) which no-one commented on, only when the children didn't line up in total silence did anyone notice we were there. I lost my supposedly statutory preparation time last week to cover a parent's place on a school trip and haven't received any word of whether I'll get it back. I wanted to use some of the time to sort out a few other jobs I had to do but of course I couldn't, then I got berated for not doing the jobs I should have done.

There's more but I really haven't the energy to go into further detail. So yeah, I'm very annoyed, moreso than I've felt in a long time. I'm going on the Times Ed website to see if there are any other jobs about. I really don't want to be a 2nd class citizen for much longer.

Oh Geeze, Hun that really sucks and you shouldn't have to take that kind of treatment. You seem like a awesome teacher and for them to mistreat you like that and just be really rude is childish and uncalled for. I'm sure your kids love you though and would miss you terribly if you left but something must be done if this place is making your job horrible.

Either way hopefully this wasn't a fluke and they have realized they were treating you badly. Though I'm sure you're still looking for a place else where.
