It is a good question, though - how do you download houses?

OK, most of mine work with WinZip, so you can open them to reveal a self-extracting file.

Give me a few minutes. I'll put some screenshots together.

OK, here we go...

My houses are nearly all zip files.

Start by clicking the link for the house you want.



Next, save the file to wherever you want.

Double click it to see what's inside.



This is a self-extracting file. It will install itself when you double click it.


If that doesn't work, drag the blue icon file out to another folder or onto your desktop, then double click it.

If you have every single expansion up to Apartment Life, go to

Houses for Download

But if you are missing any of them at all, go to

Base Game Houses

Expansion packs

The Expansion Packs come in this order:

University
Nightlife
Pets
Open for Business
Seasons
FreeTime
Apartment Life

If you are missing any of those at all, I recommend that you only download the houses from the Base Game Section.

Pictures of my Houses

I capture pictures by pressing C whilst in the game. I later upload them to the Photobucket online storage site by browing My Documents - EA Games - The Sims 2 - Storytelling and choosing the Snapshot files.

Smilies

:thumb:I find my smilies on different websites and save them to my hard drive, then I upload them using a tool provided by the hosts of this forum. I don't really use MSN so I can't explain how to add them to use in your messages. If you want a page like mine, go to https://www.forumotion.com and follow instructions to create a forum.

Terrain paints, wallpapers etc.

Thank you for telling me about the broken link. The terrain paints, wallpapers and floors have been moved - I will be changing the link soon but if you download some of my houses you should get them anyway.

These are not the right order ... it was Open for business then Pets, and where is Bon Voyage?? (Hint: it was after Seasons!)
