So you've seen a house you like and you want to include it in your game.
First of all, thanks for that - nice to be appreciated!
To download my houses and make 'em work, you need all of the current expansion packs (not Stuff packs) up to Apartment Life. I tend to buy the newest EPs as soon as they're out.
I do NOT recommend that you download a house if you have even one EP missing. It WILL crash your game.
My newer houses are getting larger in file size all the time, not because I'm making them any bigger, but because of custom content getting thrown in to the mix.
My advice is to use Sims2Pack Clean Installer to pick and choose what you want to add to your game from the lot. If you don't have it already, consider downloading it as it really is a very useful piece of kit.
You can get it here: http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/
I'll be using it shortly on some of my larger houses to clean up all the things that don't need to be in there.
Of course, if you want to keep all the CC, you can just download the houses as they are.
