Whoa... got my hands on one of these today and was just amazed at how it all looked and worked. And a fraction of the spec needed for XP, let alone Vista.

*Is won over completely thanks to RM Primary National Conference*

I'm typing this now on my new EEE - huzzah for eBay!!!

EDIT: Here be pictorial goodness...

My MiniBook, named by the kids as MiniBob (that class has got a real thing about the name Bob)...

And just to show how tiny it is, I sat it on top of my 12.1" Vista laptop...

I can't fault it, I really can't - it was loads easier to connect this to my modem as it picked up my connection details straightaway (Vista, are you listening?), same with my Skype account etc.

nice laptop, i am on vista right now, the only trouble i have with it is that everything tends to need more ram etc, which most would expect to be the other way around Sad

Not surpirsed, tbh. My Vista laptop eats memory. I had to have it upgraded to 2GB RAM just so it wouldn't keep crashing. It still doesn't run The Sims 2 (1.66GHz Intel Core Duo, indeed). Still, it's OK as a work machine.

Yeah, my kids often say it looks like a big DS. And you have seen probably seen them in black. They're available in other colours, too - probably to appeal to the younger market. Now that TweakEEE is out there, you can do a bit more with it, too...
