Cyber wrote:No, I'd heard about this some time ago. I still think David Jason is too old to play Rincewind.
Yup - too old, not skinny enough, and just wrong.

Also not loving Sean Austin as Twoflower. American accent??? Purlease! attitude

Apparently it starts on the 23rd March on Sky One. I'm sure I caught a glimpse of Tim Curry in it, too. From what I saw he's a wizard but I think he would have been better as the Patrician.

Maskerade is written after the original three witches, Magrat, Nanny Ogg and Granny Weatherwax, part company. The older two have to go looking for a new third witch.

I loved the Tiffany Aching books - I like the scene in Wintersmith where she dances with the bees.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_Pratchett%27s_Going_Postal

on the subject of films, what ever happend to the wee free men one thats one of my favourites next to the night watch books

edit/ just found out

In a June 2008 interview, Pratchett said "I saw a script that I frankly thought was awful. It seemed to be Wee Free Men in name only. It had all the hallmarks of something that had been good, and then the studio had got involved. It probably won't get made.

ah well, if he was not happy with it lets hope it wont get made just yet Smile

No films of Pratchett books should be produced without his involvement. At any stage.
