Shocked
Stunning! I'm guessing the lawn stripes in the overhead pic were done with some terrain stencilling?

EDIT: Following a discussion they weren't. Meh. But they are teh awesomeness! I split this topic as I think gardens could go in a separate topic for now. I am pleased to award you with a shiny ribbon thing! Yayness!

8The many creations of Lipsy Empty A competition House... Wed May 02, 2007 9:06 am

A house I've been working on for a competition on another forum:

It had to be a modern design and it could only be made from wood, stone and stucco, and it couldn't have a Maxis roof. There was a full list of requirements, including the number and type of rooms, and that it must have a double height lounge.

The many creations of Lipsy 249745283

Click here for the rest of the pictures...

My description of the house: "Clad in a combination of stunning white marble and timber, this house is built across three levels, and features a sunken lounge area with double height ceiling. The kitchen leads down into the dining area, which has an internal window looking into the internal swimming pool. A small patio to the rear of the property is accessed from the dining area and houses a small area of planting and ornamental rocks. It also has space for a table (for your al fresco needs!) There is a downstairs bathroom decorated with banana stucco, and also a simply decorated and functional garage.

Up the stairs to the second floor, the balconied landing overlooks the sunken lounge below, and leads to the guest bedroom and a study both panelled in wood, and the master suite.

The master suite is decorated with a striking red stucco, the red theme is continued with the accessories and bedding. There is an en suite and a dressing room.

The roof has a number of skylights and combined with the numerous double height windows, this house is flooded with light."

I really enjoyed making it!

I don't use it for either of those things - I tend to build more than anything.

It's not too hard once you get the hang of it but I found I had to devote a lot of time to getting the hang of it!

Haven't forgotten the tutorials - will post them soon. Honest. Smile

I'm sure I replied to this already, with links to some great tutorials and everything...but it's not here!

Meh oh well, I'll repost later (I'm at work and making illegal use of Government Internet!) LMAO

Short answer - boolproppery is involved, but if you have some patience it's not that tricky

's funny you should say that - one or more of my posts disappeared on Wednesday night, but Firefox had to restart itself so maybe there was a problem with the Editboard server or something... I certainly haven't deleted any posts by anyone here.

Ok, I'm happy to admit to being addicted to creating Sims...I even have a babies name dictionary by my computer to aid with naming said creations!!

Unfortunately I've 'forgotten' some of their names at the present time (created them, moved them in, took some pics and haven't been by to visit them since!!)

This is Luc

He adopted a stray cat...
The many creations of Lipsy Amanandhiscat

Happy cat!!

Can't remember her name, but she has cool sunglasses!
The many creations of Lipsy Coolandcasual

I was trying to make a doll-like Sim, it kind've worked!
The many creations of Lipsy Dollsim

Duncan walked randomly past someone elses house, so I had to take a few pics of him!!
The many creations of Lipsy Duncanwalkingpastlucshouse

I don't tend to create many blondes, so this was my attempt at a girl next door type!
The many creations of Lipsy Girlnextdoor

This is Gracious, a slightly mean blonde!
The many creations of Lipsy Gracious

Made this Sim two nights ago, using another one of Enayla's skins, they're so pretty!
The many creations of Lipsy Madetwonightsago

Slightly Goth, made a couple of nights ago because I wanted to use a recolour of a recent XM Sims hair I found on MTS2!
The many creations of Lipsy Slightlygoth

I LOVE Seasons...rainy day picture!
The many creations of Lipsy Rainydaysim

Trying out another new hair, I think this one came with Seasons...but then again it might be one of my mountain of CC hairs!!
The many creations of Lipsy Randomman

Pale and pretty but not a vampire, I thought she looked slightly french so she has a slightly french name that I can't quite remember...I think it might be Emalie!

I've entered another competition over at the Reflex Sims forum, you had to create an Idyllic tropical island following the list of requirements given.

Two evenings later...here is my Idyllic Island (chock full of lots of lovely CC!!)
