Favourite hymns or songs at school?

For me, gotta be...

Autumn days when the grass is jewelled
And the silk inside a chestnut shell
Jet planes meeting in the air to be refuelled
All these things I love so well

So I mustn't forget
No, I mustn't forget
To say a great big thank you
I mustn't forget

Clouds that look like familiar faces
And a winter's moon with frosted rings
Smell of bacon as I fasten up my laces
And the song the milkman sings

So I mustn't forget
No, I mustn't forget
To say a great big thank you
I mustn't forget

Whipped-up spray that is rainbow scattered
And a swallow curving in the sky
Shoes so comfy though they're worn out and they're battered
And the taste of apple pie

So I mustn't forget
No, I mustn't forget
To say a great big thank you
I mustn't forget

Scent of gardens when the rain's been falling
And a minnow darting down a stream
Picked-up engine that's been stuttering and stalling
And a win for my home team

So I mustn't forget
No, I mustn't forget
To say a great big thank you
I mustn't forget

Come and Praise Song book, number 4. bounce

edit
heres another one

Leave Them A Flower

(Wally Whyton)
Leave them a flower, some grass and a hedgerow
A hill and a valley, a view to the sea
These things are not yours to destroy as you want to
A gift given once for eternity

I speak on behalf of the next generation
My sons and daughters, their children to come
What will you leave them for their recreation
An oil slick, a pylon, an industrial slum

You plunder and pillage, you tear and you tunnel
Trees lying toppled, roots finger the sky
Building a land for machines and computers
In the name of progress the farms have to die

Fish in the ocean polluted and poisoned
The sand on the beaches stinking and black
And you with your tankers, your banks and investments
Say, Never worry, the birds will come back

When the last flower has dropped its last petal
When the last concrete is finally laid
The moon will shine cold on a nightmarish landscape
Your gift to your children, this world that you made

Come and Praise, number 55:

Colours of Day dawn into the mind,
The sun has come up, the night is behind;
Go down in the city, into the street
And let's give the message to the people we meet.

So light up the fire and let the flame burn,
Open the door, let Jesus return;
Take seeds of His spirit, let the fruit grow,
Tell the people of Jesus, let his love show.

Go through the park, on into the town,
The sun still shines on, it never goes down;
The light of the world is risen again,
The people pf darkness are needing our friend.

So light up the fire and let the flame burn,
Open the door, let Jesus return;
Take seeds of His spirit, let the fruit grow,
Tell the people of Jesus, let his love show.

Open your eyes, look into the sky,
The darkness has come, the sun came to die;
The evening wears on, the sun disappears,
But Jesus is living, His spirit is near.

So light up the fire and let the flame burn,
Open the door, let Jesus return;
Take seeds of His spirit, let the fruit grow,
Tell the people of Jesus, let his love show.

Yeah im still @ school (hence the 15-year-old *points under avatar)

I h8 all the hymns when we go to chapel. I'm not religous so it bores me. Ussually i sit there pretending to sing along but really just lipsynching

Generally i have a fall out boy osng going through my head. either that or the white stripes. "icky thump, who da thunk, sittin drunk, on the back of a wagon to mexico?" haha i like that song. cherry

Did anyone ever have to sing Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam?

I'm intrigued to know how it goes...
