Sad news

I'm very sad to report that one of our most valued members has passed away this week.

Matt, known here as Cinder144uk, sadly lost his battle with bone cancer on Monday. He would occasionally disappear from here from time to time while receiving treatment.


Words fail me. He was as genuine and kind in real life as he was online and he will be sadly missed.

If anyone wants to add their thoughts here, please do.

Matt was one of those forum personalities that, no matter what silly little argument was going on, he was respectful, genuine, honest, and always interested in making sure everyone was okay more than anything else.

He fought really hard to make sure none of us worried about him, especially when he'd be away for awhile with treatment. His brief posts about being ill were so poignant. Usually, they'd just be a quick note saying that he wasn't feeling well because of treatment, but that he was happy to know we all cared.

How could you not find such a simple, humble spirit endearing? His gracefulness will always be remebered, cherished, and hopefully, copied by us all.

I know Matt from Mikes but not so well , but I wanted to say something for his friends , that I know are here .

I know many people like him cause he was very friendly to people so maybe in a way , he won this battle , to remain interested in people and always have nice word to say .
I hope he is in good place now .

Thanks to Lipsy and Caboose who were able to represent us at Matt's funeral. They copied and printed off some of the comments from here and MikeInside's Facebook group to give to Matt's family.

EDIT: Have changed Matt's forum rank. Hope it reflects what we all think. If not, feel free to suggest alternatives.
