your career

what career do you want to have/ currently have?


I want to be a chiropractor and I also want to spefiy(sp?) in connective tissue disorders.

Sounds like a valuable career path to take.

As for me, I like being a teacher, but I wouldn't mind specialising a bit more.

i would like to work with Kids in a sort of older brother program, like kids who come from a broken home and just want able to spend a few hours a week being able to forget about any of thier problems they have.
i only started thinking about it from when i was in hospital last year the macmillan nurse was asking me what i would like to do career wise, and told me that she thinks i would be a exelent childrens care working.
and since then i have been giving it some thought

I figure you'd be great with kids. As long as you're patient and have a thick skin and a good sense of humour you'll be fine. A friend of mine takes part in a similar scheme. She has a boy come over for days out and things, like a big sister kind of programme. I know the boy and his family pretty well and it definitely does him good to see that some adults do care and are capable of looking after him and showing him the right direction in life.

Not sure how you go about it. I can ask her the next time I see her if you like.

i still need a few months to get over some things but, it will be helpful to know how to go about it when i feel ready

also if anyones interested in conective tissue disorders I can tell you a small bit about them.

I teach everyone at my school - literally! Years 3 to 6 (7 to 12 year olds). I teach ICT and Music at a junior school.

Music and IT were my favorite subjects at school, i was realy disapointed when i found out i was unable to take them for GCSE/CoE .

yeah i was a bit of a teachers pet
and extra nice to teachers who i found nice .

My I.T teacher was also my Registration teacher and we got along great, she knew my mum from when she was in school, and also knew some of my naibours, who told me so many funny stoires from when they were all in school.
I miss her loads, even more so when i found out she had passed away 2 years after i had left school

as for my Music teacher, she was the schools "Hot" teacher, but very strict but once you get to know herand do as your told, she can be realy friendly, though she did get realy mad when the class ideot made my pen leak when i had my back turned and got ink all over the keyboard

Lipsy and I had a lot of the same teachers. We had a music teacher who used to make us do adverts for cars and milk and basically any random stuff. She also used to play us some pretty weird records - like The Stutter Rap by Morris Minor and the Majors. Apparently it was at the cutting edge of popular music and we had to watch this space because these guys were just going to go up and up. She was pretty cool though.

Didn't have many IT lessons or teachers at school: just one bloke who messed around with BBC Micros - to the point of having hundreds of dismembered ones in the classroom - and one who yelled all the time and taught us how to play Xor on the brand new IBM clones.

Mind you, I still play Xor now. Cool game - you can make fish and chickens explode, which of course is always good.

Well I'm in college right now to be a registered nurse.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to love being one.
I thought of being a teacher though since my older sister is a teacher.

a big girls private school. i wish we didn't hav 2 wear uniforms here...

well that's my DREAM but if that doesn't work out, I'd like to be doing something with computers like graphic design or web design. One career that I'm very interested in is video game design...
