These arrived on Friday!

I bought 4 of these little critters with the Tesco Computers for Schools vouchers:



They finally arrived on Friday and they are just the cutest little robots on Earth. *geek*

If you ever had a Roamer or a Logo Turtle at school you'll know what these do. You can program them to scoot around a course of your own design. I'm going to use them with my special needs kids to help them with spellings and number line work and ooooohhhh... everything 'cause they're too cute not to. *enthuses*

They have a little racetrack and little trailers to pull and alphabet mats and even their boxes can be folded out to make little houses and they're just so cute (but I'm sure I already said that).

Anyway, calming down now. I think.

But they're cute!

I found a testing video of them at their official site. The quality is a bit naff and the colours look weird but it shows what they do.

On the same page there is a demo of the Bee-Bot software which is really cool to play with!

They were very popular with my kids - I used 4 of them and 8 Roamers, and even though the Roamers are more sophisticated they all wanted the Bee-Bots.

Yes, you may hug the Bee-Bots if you like. I did.

And i would hug your beebot, but i still have a bit of a cold and end up passing it on to him, virus are bad for robots

Are these like what i remember from primary, where you program where it moves too and stuff? I loved them! :p Its so nice to see that the vouchers are used for something that can be fun, cute and im sure educational! I love it! Can i come play with it? :p

More Bee-Bot fun today - even my normally most disruptive pupil got stuck into the challenge of making Buzz travel around a racetrack. He even turned off the Bee-Bot at one point and paced the track himself, then tried again. I've seriously never seen him so engrossed in any lesson!

Even more Bee-Bots tomorrow when I take the third class in that year group.

I had an even cuter experience yesterday - I told the kids I didn't know which Bee-Bot was which. Those kids who had Bee-Bots all decided that theirs was called Bubbles. When I asked them why, they all said they thought it was the best name.

A small boy hugged his Bee-Bot yesterday and didn't want to let go.

Oh my gosh. I just squealed like a little girl reading that post.

And laughed lol Bubbles IS the best name! ^^
