Pie fillings, anyone?

banoffee
steak and kidney
minced beef and onion
cheese and onion
steak and ale
chicken and mushroom
cherry
apple
chicken and vegetable
corned beef
fruits of the forest
mince pie (Christmas) santa
pork
meat and potato
ocean pie

What, for you, if any, is the pie of choice? Or do you just want to list random pie fillings?

Banofee? I'm scared. honestly, what are they feeding you people in america? :larf: Or wherever ur from. where r u from anyways? What's ocean pie? Fish? Weird... once when i was in america, there was a poster for a pumpkin pie smoothie! who would eat that? seriously? there was also, triple caremal pie icecream. honestly. american cuisine scares me pale 🇳🇴 sorry if im steriotyping food. can you do that? *confused*

I dont really like pie much... dessert pie MAYBE. if so then berries. personally i think cooked apple is a bit weird. i dunno why. scratch

I'm not that big on pie with the whole not liking pastry issue I have...but apple pie can be a BIG winner, if the pastry isn't too heavy and it comes with ice cream...(and NO cinammon!) Suspect

Here are some pies to keep you going.
They are famous Wesh Pies. Also try Wrights Pies from Newcastle under Lyme.

Wrights oatie ceks are delicious, except when deep fried in oil at seven o'clock on a Sunday morning by a bunch of sixth formers at Keele University.

Meanwhile, here is a little something for the ladies, (sugar and spice and all that...)

Are Pot Pies in America the same as Pot Pies in Scotland? The Scottish ones are a normal pie, made from Mutton and then biled so all the grease goes to the top. Yuuk, even my friend Dr Stupid would not eat them!

Ew, that does not sound appetizing Sad

The pot pies I'm talking about here are like a stew (chicken or beef or turkey) in a pie crust.

Someone could probably better explain it than me. But they are really good. Smile

I'll see if I can find a picture and a recipe! ^^

I love you, Molly

I have to admit, Molly, yours sound nicer than the boiled ick of a Scottish pot pie.

Oh man, pot pie in the US are delicious. And the only meat type of pie that we really have. It's chicken or beef with veggies in a creamy broth sauce baked into a crust... yummy.

My favorite pie would have to be apple pie... or a really good pumpkin pie. It's the pumpkin season here, so I'm loving it.

I think I could eat an American Pot Pie! would I get Corn Bread and Biscuits as well? What are Grits please!

Can you really buy Hog Jowls? Or was that Kricfalusi?

Dont take this too seriously. From my comments on South Welsh cuisene you should know by now I like to sample local dishes.

Ren Very Happy

LOL! You could get cornbread and real biscuits!

Grits are a starchy breakfast food. Much to the chagrin of my family, I don't like them without butter and sugar. If you'd ever had west African fufu, it's a bit like that only more soupy and grainier.

I don't eat grits without butter and cheese. It is so so good and it sticks to your ribs and your thighs and your ass and your stomach.... Oh dear...

*tries to hide her grits body*

*giggles* I love you, Molly
