    Life Stories Houses

Post by Cyber on Sun Nov 11, 2007 2:57 pm

Now that I've finally installed Life Stories on my desktop PC I've been playing around with it a little. So far, I like what I see of the game, with only a couple of things that bug me (more on those later).

Presenting my first Life Stories house...

Hoping to find a way to upload this house soon!

    New house!

Post by Cyber on Tue Nov 13, 2007 9:35 pm

Apparently whole neighbourhoods can be taken from Life Stories and imported into TS2 but I have yet to investigate this...

My newest house (only one pic)...

A house I built to teach area and perimeter

Post by Cyber on Sun Dec 02, 2007 12:41 pm

I was looking for a way to teach area and perimeter that would make some sort of sense to the kids. I took some time out of my lesson planning and built this. Then I started to think about how I could use the plan views of the house and gardens to set and solve problems *Maths geek* - and here's the result...

New house from about 7 minutes ago!

Post by Cyber on Sun Dec 02, 2007 2:38 pm

    So, yeah... I built this...

I don't have a name for it yet but I'm trying to work out how I can export it to my main TS2 game...

    Small plot, big ideas...

Post by Cyber on Sun Dec 23, 2007 9:58 pm

My latest creation in Life Stories... it's actually quite a challenge to go back to having no CC at all...

A small house with many balconettes and a spiral stairwell (the MikeInside tutorials work with Life Stories, too!).

Log cabin retreat with swimmable lake

Post by Cyber on Mon Dec 24, 2007 10:23 pm

I've finally managed to get some CC working in Life Stories! So far, only terrain paints, but now that I know what to do I can experiment further. Very Happy

Presenting my CC test lot, using my favourite terrain paints...

Generally much higher res than this, but I had to upload these images as JPEGs (Photobucket takes ages to upload BMPs).

I made another cabin lot yesterday, will post later...

EDIT: Been waiting for Photobucket to accept my screenshots. Still, here goes (similar idea but on a smaller plot)...
